Nodding back to Gilles P’s most recent Cuban adventure – Havana Cultura: The Search Continues – we’re very proud to present the first of two remix packages – Agita featuring remixes from Switch & Sinden and Sunlightsquare. Their first studio collaboration since 2008, Switch & Sinden go straight for the jugular.
The duo’s rework is a rumbling juggernaut jam built around trademark monster kick drums, slamming percussion, siren-like horns and twisted vocal dubs – pure fire for the dancefloor.
In direct contrast to this all out sound system assault, Latin collective Sunlightsquare (headed up by Claudio Passavanti) tease every last drop of sunshine from Agita, making full use of El Micha and Osdalgia’s sparring vocals upon skittering percussion and sensitively crafted melodies.
